Seasoning is a blend of prescribed ingredients for the production of: snacks, croutons, chips, popcorn, crumbs, nuts, extrusion products, meat products, as well as sauces, mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese appetizers, cheese, soups, etc. It is used with a view to flavor the product with certain taste and aroma, which allows the manufacturer to diversify the product range that differs in their taste and flavor facilities.

Seasonings are divided: by area of application, by taste facilities, savory and sweet, moreover blend flavorings differ by method of application, for example, for snacks different methods of technological application are used: at prepared product in the drum, or dissolved in oil with subsequent spraying on the product, or application in dough before production n/a. etc. Therefore, seasonings have different: composition, concentration and dosage.

The composition of seasonings includes: flavors and flavoring agents, carriers: dextrose, maltodextrin, vegetable oil, salt,… depending on process requirements flavor intensifiers (E621…), preservative agents of natural origin, natural or synthetic colours, natural spices, botanical extracts and yeast extracts, etc. The standard seasoning for sweet products is, for example: sugar or powdered sugar, milk powder, flavorings and flavoring agents, as well as, if necessary, natural or synthetic colours etc.
